Senior Project Manager

Job Purpose 

We are looking for a skilled project manager with experience in software project management or IT solutions to join our project management team. You will be responsible for leading and creating cutting-edge, scalable data science, and AI/machine learning projects across a wide range of industries with data science and software engineering teams. This role required a combination of strategic thinking and creativity to identify opportunities and proposed solutions to drive new initiatives, test and validate the ideas, learn from the mistake, and adapt and overcome quickly. In addition, as a senior project manager, you will help the company save struggling projects, improve operation workflow, and project management within a company, and act as a consultant for guidelines to junior members of the team. 

Accountabilities

• Leading end-to-end project management from project initiation to project delivery for client and ensuring that our project meets client expectations 
• Translating complex business requirements into technical requirements including scope of work, clear description, and definition of done with key stakeholders both internal and external 
• Responsible for main point of contact for our client/partner, ensuring the communication of project progress, roadblocks, and any related issues are informed and aligned to the client/key stakeholders 
• Working closely with data science, and software engineering in technical planning and project implementation to create cutting edge scalable data science/machine learning product for client
• Manage resource planning, and resource allocation and ensure that our project is delivered within budget and time constraints. 
• Seeking out and identifying potential risks, change management, and ensuring those risks are informed to the stakeholders along with proposed solutions to eliminate those risks properly 
• Monitor the performance of Project Manager (Associate) and provide them with practical guidance, as needed 
• Research and monitors competitors, trends, and industry

Qualifications 

• Have experience in lead a project team discussion 
• At least 4 years of professional experience working in project management or program management role 
• Have experience related to agile methodologies in project planning, project execution, and project delivery 
• Bachelor’s degree or higher that is related to Computer Science, Information technology field, or a related technical background involving software development or equivalent experience 
• Have experience in tech startup and technology company 
• Familiar with data science, AI/Machine learning project execution 
• Certified PMP, Agile/Scrum, and other coaching and facilitations are also a plus
