Lead Data Scientist

Job Purpose

We are looking for a lead data scientist with experience in data science and AI development projects to lead our data science team. You will be responsible to advice the team to develop machine learning models for AI products and AI projects (both structured and unstructured data) across a wide range of industries with software engineering, operation, and business teams. This role required a combination of strong data science skills and leadership skills to manage high performance data science to create cutting-edge ML/AI models. In addition, you will participate AI academy as alecturer and advisor. 

Accountabilities 

• Advice the team to analyze data to create usefulinterpretations and develop predictive and prescriptive models 
• Guarantee data quality and integrity 
• Review and validate algorithms and models 
• Supervise a team of data scientists and AI engineers 
• Collaborate with software engineers to build machine learning pipelines and test the performance 
• Recommend AI solutions, feasibility, and manpower to business problems by conducting research on new technologies for business team 
• Lead model development procedures 
• Participate in technical and executive training programs 

Qualifications 

• Extensive experience in data science and machine learning (structured and unstructured data)
• At least 5 years of experience in data science in industrial or business settings
• Solid experience with Python and ML libraries 
• Experience supervises a team 
• Experience in software engineering 
• Experience in software development 
• Experience in Teaching and consulting 

Competency 

• Strong data science knowledge and experience in Data collection, Data manipulation, Data visualization, Data modelling, Data evaluation and model deployment 
• Apply the data science to the business sector 
• Team management and leadership skills
