We are a transportation tech company with extensive experiences in both software and hardware.  Currently, our flagship products are MuvMi and TukTuk Hop, which since the 2018 launch, have served over 2.5 million trips with 250+ Electric Vehicles. With positive feedback from our pilot, we are rapidly expanding our service in Bangkok and many cities in Thailand.  We believe that we can change how people mobilize around cities in South East Asia.  We are looking for leaders and champions to help us grow.

What we look for

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for developing the hardware & firmware of VCU (Vehicle Control Unit) and embedded systems in our electric vehicles, working with other embedded system engineers, vehicle dynamics engineers, and the product team to further improve firmware and hardware.  You will help us grow this product from being utilized in a few hundred of vehicles, to thousands of vehicles.

• VCU: continuous improvement of VCU firmware and hardware to ensure safety and efficiency
• R&D: explore new solutions and technologies to support our growing business
• Vehicle Control: design & implement vehicle control algorithm to ensure vehicle safety and optimize energy management (under supervision of vehicle control engineer). 
• Battery Charging: develop software & hardware for different charging protocols and charging strategy to support different chargers and batteries
• Production VCU: work with the manufacturer to ensure mass production of VCU units.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience (3+ years) with embedded system, IoT, and C/C++ programming 
• Strong team player
• Self-motivated and passionate about IoT with a desire to learn new skills and technologies
• Experience working with RTOS system (FreeRTOS is preferred)
• Experience working with communication bus (CAN, UART, SPI, etc.)
• Knowledge of IoT protocol and standards (MQTT, Wireless Networking, Nb-IoT, Database, etc.) 
• Familiar with hardware-level debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzer, multimeter, etc.
• Ability to understand electrical schematics/PCB layout and components datasheet. Capability to design circuit and PCB would be a plus.
• Experience with unit testing and safety-critical system is a huge plus 
• Knowledge and experience in Amazon Web Service Infrastructure is a plus
• Experience working with version control (Git) and peer code review is a plus
• Knowledge of battery technologies and/or motor control would be a plus
