Portfolio and Venture Manager/Senior Manager

Job Summary:

This job position is responsible for managing and monitoring investments made to portfolio companies under SCB10X and spin-offs from Venture Builder team with aspiration to create the next unicorn. This position is expected to assist new ventures from day 0 through various stage of the businesses including company setting-up, fundraising activities, etc. This position will work alongside our top talents from Finance, Risk Management and Venture Capital team to ensure that our portfolio companies receive sufficient support to run their business smoothly and efficiently. The Portfolio and Venture Manager/Senior Manager filling this position should be highly motivated as this position play a key role in success of SCB10X’ s portfolio companies.

Job Descriptions:

• Track and analyze portfolio companies’ performance and provide strategic direction to support fundraising plan.
• Assist early-stage ventures in company setup, establish governance framework and help define operational processes of the company.
• Drive growth stage ventures to attain exponential growth through various growth hacking technique.
• Analyze business performance and market conditions to create forecast and strategic decisions.
• Build relationship with portfolio companies’ key personnel.
• Provide a leadership role, must be capable of leading their organization/portfolio companies on a continuous journey of sustained improvement.
• Coordinate with portfolio companies to provide updates on a regular/ad-hoc basis as requested from SCB/SCB10X.
• Prepare monthly performance dashboard of portfolio companies’ performance for SCB 10X Board of Directors.
• Work closely with portfolio companies’ and SCB 10X Finance team to consolidate portfolio companies ‘performance and supporting information to support fundraising plan.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures and standards, governmental authority related to any business commence by SCB 10X portfolio companies.

Qualifications:

• MBA or graduate degree from accredited university in finance, economics, entrepreneurship, or related field. Direct experience in Portfolio Management is preferred.
• At least 5-10 years of experiences with proven track record in Technology, Investment or Financial services.
• Understanding of financial ratios, various performance indicators for different type of businesses (financial modelling is a plus).
• Poses entrepreneurial mindset with high ownership and accountability on assigned tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to go above and beyond to make things happen and thrive in a fast-paced, fluid and collaborative environment.
• Ability to think outside the box and take initiatives to handle incoming challenges.
• Able to multi-tasks and manage variety of projects.
• Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to establish relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels across the organization.
• Strong presentation skills, professional working proficiency in English are required.
