Cloud Security Engineer [RakkaR Digital]

Job Summary:

Rakkar Digital is a startup company backed by SCB10X focusing on digital assets and blockchain space. We provide digital asset custody and related services to our clients across ASEAN. We are on a mission to enable our clients to securely store and easily access digital assets and cryptocurrencies. 

The team is growing fast. We are looking for strong talents to join us in multiple countries across the region. We are looking for a Cloud Security Engineer with experience in multi-cloud infrastructure, security and resiliency controls. The successful candidate will be based in Bangkok and work with security and tech teams from Thailand and other countries to deliver secure and resilient infrastructure for our products across the countries.

Job Descriptions:

Role Purpose

• lead the design and implementation of our cloud infrastructure, security and resiliency controls
• Align our infrastructure and workspaces with industrial best practices including CIS benchmarks, AWS well-architecture framework, Microsoft cloud security benchmark, ISO and SOC2 standards
• Provision cloud workloads and virtual desktops for projects and employees
• Operate IAM management and user account provisioning
• Implement application security controls such as static code scanners, secret and key management and runtime security solution to safeguard our products
• Design and implement IaC and cloud automation using serverless computing for operational efficiency
• Handle incident tickets and monitor security alerts from cloud
• Collaborate with team members and related parties to improve our security and resiliency practices.

Key Relationships

• Reports to Chief Information Security Officer
• Internal stakeholders include product and tech teams in the company
• External stakeholders include partners providing professional services

What we are looking for

• Experience in provisioning cloud workloads and global network connectivity in AWS and Microsoft Azure platforms
• Technical, hands-on knowledge in CloudFormation, Terraform, Azure Resource
• Manager, serverless programming, scripting and software-defined networking
• Experience in creating secure and resilient infrastructure from the ground up in a regulated industry is an advantage
• You have a love to build tool to speed up complicated workflows and integrate security health checks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, software engineering or information technology
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working in security engineering projects with experience in network integration, maintenance and operation
• Solid understanding of AWS and Microsoft Azure best practices and solutions
• Previous experience in implementing application security tools such as WAF, SAST, runtime security tool, secret and key management are advantageous
• Strong security mindset with the passion to fix security issues
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty and Microsoft
• Certified Azure Security Engineer Associate are advantageous
• Understanding of digital assets industry, cryptocurrencies and web3 are a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-culture environment
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, high-energy, remote-first environment
• Passionate about technology and excited about the impact of emerging disruptive technologies
• Excited about trying new approaches to set new and higher standards
• Courageous and willing to challenge status quo to implement new solutions for improvement
