Senior Web Developer/Team Lead (Django)

PeerPower’s Data Engineer team is responsible for the effective exchange of data between engineering and partner data sources. Individuals on the team power our need for digesting data requirements into actionable build plans.

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer who will support the team’s workplan and code review process while working across PeerPower to drive process efficiency and managing the engineering partnership to ensure timely, complete data.

What will you do at PeerPower?

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain the internal web application (Used for data processing and analytics) and data warehouse
• Automate data generation processes and tooling to reduce data consumption efforts
• Write self-documenting and well-tested code with an emphasis on sustainable development practices
• Work as a part of small, productive development team that puts an emphasis on code quality, peer reviews and strong engineering practices

Are we right for each other?

• 3+ years of professional experience working with Django or similar MVC frameworks such as Laravel, NestJS, .NET framework, Java Spring etc.
• Knowledge of REST standards including best practices and OOP
• One or more years of mid to senior experience leading a team of software engineers
• Experienced with data modeling and data warehousing is a plus
• Demonstrated skills in process and algorithm design
• Fast learner
