DevOps Engineer

OKKAMI is looking for a Devops Engineer to be part of the team of our mobile application for travelers. This is a chance to take a pivotal role in a diverse, technology driven startup poised to redefine the $6 trillion travel industry. The role is based out of our office in Bangkok, on Sukhumvit, Soi 11.

Job Description:

Qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science (or related technical field)
• 2+ years of experience with cloud compute and storage, including public cloud vendors (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• a clear understanding of coding and scripting with common languages, such as Bash shell, Python or Ruby.
• Strong bias for automation and taking the time to think about the right way to solve a problem versus quick fixes or band-aids.
• Technical curiosity and are ready to help across the team and learn new skills.
• Experience using CI/CD pipeline build and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, CircleCI, Firebase, or Docker.
• Experience in ELK stack is preferred
• Experience working in Linux environments and shell scriptings is a must.
• Experience in Javascript, NodeJS, NPM, PM2, and Nginx.

Responsibilities:

• Be part of a team that’s building a service that instantiates and orchestrates a variety of server instances across a heterogeneous infrastructure.
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering teams to manage systems and services that provide reliable and scalable solutions supporting the customer experience.
• Research, prototype, implement and drive improvements, focused on solving complex infrastructure problems across the systems
• Create and update documentation that improve the experience for people working with the systems
• Work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• Assist developers and operations in setting up new server instances and mobile devices
