Software Engineer in Test

Job Summary

At NTBX, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer in Test to join our team. As a Software Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and other cross-functional teams to identify test requirements, create test plans, and execute test cases.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts to facilitate efficient and reliable testing of software applications.
• Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand system requirements, design test cases, and define test objectives.
• Design and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability.
• Execute test cases, analyze test results, and troubleshoot issues to identify the root cause of defects and ensure timely resolution.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure testability, maintainability, and reliability of the software under test.
• Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of quality, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing, and apply that knowledge to improve testing practices within the organization. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Javascript, Java, C#, Python, or similar languages commonly used for test automation.
• 0-2 Years of experience in a software development related field (new grads are welcome)
• Experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks, tools, and scripts.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in test case design, test execution, and defect tracking.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience with performance testing, security testing, or other specialized testing areas is a plus.
