We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team in a shift-based role. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our production environments and be responsible for the day-to-day operation and support of our AWS-based infrastructure and services. This includes troubleshooting and resolving production issues, monitoring system performance, and performing service deployment. This role ensures that our services run smoothly and efficiently even outside regular business hours.

Responsibilities:

• Provide proactive support to ensure the availability and reliability of critical production systems during the assigned shift
• Participate in on-call rotation to address system emergencies outside of regular business hours
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Documenting and tracking issues, resolution, troubleshooting steps and compiling incident reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Deploying, inspecting and monitoring infrastructure and production services
• Responding to service requests
• Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline repetitive support tasks, enhance efficiency, and reduce manual intervention

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related fields
• Experience in production support or IT operation in a high availability/critical applications
• Knowledge and experience of cloud infrastructure (AWS), Linux OS, containers and databases
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work flexible hours to the assigned shift schedule
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation
