Lead/Manager QA Automation Engineer

Responsibilities: 

• Spearhead the automation testing initiatives within the quality assurance team, driving the design, development, and maintenance of robust automation frameworks and solutions. 
• Define and implement automation strategies, best practices, and standards to ensure efficient and effective testing processes. 
• Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to foster skill development and growth. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, identify automation opportunities, and develop comprehensive test plans. 
• Design and develop scalable, maintainable automated test scripts and tools to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability. 
• Oversee the integration of automated tests into continuous integration and deployment pipelines, ensuring seamless execution and reporting. 
• Analyze test results and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, working closely with development teams to address defects and optimize software quality. 
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in automation testing, and drive their adoption within the organization. 
• Participate in project planning, estimation, and prioritization, providing input on automation efforts, resource allocation, and timelines. 
• Serve as a point of contact for automation-related inquiries, providing expertise, guidance, and support to stakeholders as needed. 
• Contribute to the documentation of automation processes, test plans, and test reports, ensuring clarity, completeness, and accuracy. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in automation testing roles, with a proven track record of designing and implementing automation frameworks in complex environments. 
• Extensive hands-on experience with automation testing tools/frameworks such as Robot, Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar. 
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, with the ability to write clean, maintainable code. 
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. 
• Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members, drive collaboration, and foster a culture of excellence. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality automation solutions in Agile/Scrum environments, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
