Database Administrator

 Job Description 

· Perform day-to-day database operation, including support incident and change 

· Assess and develop backup and recovery, including test restores ensuring all databases and associated logs are being backed-up Monitor, evaluate (performance, availability and reliability) 

· Develop and improve stored procedures for automated monitoring and proactive intervention, preventing customer impact 

· Investigate and coordinate with peers/cross team to perform database root cause analysis and provide a good solution for quick win and long term 

· Assume ownership of database related problems; pursue problem resolution and root cause analysis 

· Coordinate interaction with vendors in critical database problem situations 

· Proactively generates relevant ideas for new and improved use of technology 

Qualification 

· Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field 

· Male/Female, age not over 30 years, Thai nationality 

· Knowledge of relational database constructs (indexes, partitions, compression, etc.) 

· Strong problem analysis, self-motivated, enthusiastic and resolution skill are required 

· Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently toward assigned goals 

· Knowledge in other Data Persistence platforms: RDBMS (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) will be advantage 

· Knowledge in SQL, PL/SQL Unix/Linux will be advantage 

· Ability to deal and handle difficult situations, including work under pressure and time constraints 

· Ability to work oversea in a short period 

· Knowledge in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud will be advantage 

· Knowledge in provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running on AWS DBs (RDS, DynamoDB, EMR, Redshift, Aurora, etc.), Google Cloud Platform (SQL Platform) and best practices throughout the lifecycle of a project 

· Ability to identify and gather requirements to define a solution to be built on AWS DBs, Google Cloud Platform will be advantage.
