We are building a blockchain client that brings a million providers and a billion users on blockchain. We need your help to make that happen.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team, to enable and accelerate the success of Light Layer. You’ll be working with us as a Core Dev on the Light Layer, a modular blockchain client, which will power the next generation of blockchain clients in the market. In addition to direct protocol work, you’ll be part of the team building and running the infrastructure, ensuring the systems that sustain the Light Layer are best-in-industry.
What you’ll be doing:
- Architect and develop distributed systems with high-availability and redundancy.
- Participate in the design and implementation of performant and resilient distributed applications.
- Thinking creatively about attack vectors, possible failures, and disaster scenarios, modeling them in reproducible test environments, and developing fixes.
- Design and implement foundational infrastructure components used by every blockchain client like storage, state tries database, etc.
- Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise.
- Write high quality, well tested code that can sustain billions of dollars of TVL.
What we look for in you:
- Strong interest in blockchain and other Web 3.0 technologies.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience. (Software Engineers, Senior Software Engineers, and Technical Leads are encouraged to apply)
- Expert-level experience with Golang or any other strongly-typed programming language.
- Experience developing web applications/services and backend APIs.
- Experience with building distributed systems and understanding of system design concepts.
- Excellent debugging skills with attention to detail and ability to write the scripts as required.
- Ability to write and communicate effectively.
Bonus Points:
- You have experience with Blockchains. (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum etc.)
- You have experience building and monitoring highly-available infrastructure.
- You’ve worked with Geth, Reth or any blockchain clients.
- You have a deep knowledge of Ethereum and the EVM.
- You have experience building with decentralized building blocks such as DHTs, consensus protocols, smart contracts, blockchain, p2p networking, etc
