Site Reliability Engineering Manager

In concurrence with main responsibilities mentioned under job description, the successful candidate is also expected to perform below duties with this team.

• Identify anti-patterns, bad practices, and suboptimal use of tools, processes, and data. Leveraging that knowledge to actionable plans.
• Responsible to drive technical improvements to adhere to secure and modern practices
• Implement and oversee major technological upgrades, improvements, and changes to the platform
• Demonstrate platform capabilities, functionalities, integrations, and its usage to deliver highly available services
• Research new technologies and processes and create reference implementations to increase our cloud-native service catalog, performance, and availability
• Provide technical knowledge and support to Thailand and regional countries to support their operations on the common platform
• Supervise operations and report to the Head of TechOps for required changes and recommendations
• Build a high performing team to support IT departments with best practices and new cloud-native technologies and procedures
• Support the application developers with the knowledge, tools, and processes to increase velocity, improve monitoring, performance and availability.
• Support SREs and DevOps in their tooling implementation and automation processes.

Essential Skills & Prerequisites :

• Familiarity with SRE methodologies, Google SRE book.
• Experience defining SLO’s and working with Engineering to maintain error budgets.
• Tech stack / Experience with a broad mix of technologies, including a strong subset of containers technology.
• Experience with distributed architectures, SOA, microservices, and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS).
• Familiarity with containers and their technologies such as Docker.
• Experience with high availability, high-scale, and performance systems.
